Methods for fostering empathy, humility, and forgiveness - online webinar

Caring for others can test the limits of our patience, perspective, and emotional resilience. This online workshop, featuring insights from Luke Egan of Neuroscience Research Australia, will help you from falling in the trap of taking things personally, by introducing evidence-based strategies to strengthen empathy, foster humility, and promote forgiveness.

Key psychological concepts are clearly defined and explored, including the difference between forgiveness and reconciliation, the emotional and cognitive aspects of empathy, and the scientific understanding of humility. You will also learn how attribution style influences reactions to others and shapes interpersonal dynamics.

Practical techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) will be shared, with a focus on reducing rumination, enhancing perspective-taking, and supporting emotional wellbeing in the caring role.
