Overnight Mental Health First Aid Workshop - Coogee

This two-day overnight retreat combines accredited Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training with wellbeing activities, peer connection, and respite in a supportive environment designed specifically for unpaid carers.

Carers often experience significant emotional and psychological pressures through their caring role, while also supporting people experiencing mental health challenges. This retreat provides carers with the opportunity to focus on their own wellbeing while gaining practical, evidence-based mental health skills.

Participants will learn how to:
  • Identify early signs of mental distress
  • Provide initial help and reassurance
  • Connect people with professional and community supports
Delivered through interactive discussions and practical activities, the course empowers carers to build confidence, improve mental health literacy, and create mentally healthy environments at home and within the community.

The overnight retreat format also provides valuable time for reflection, connection, and self-care, helping reduce isolation and strengthen resilience.

Together, we can reduce stigma and make a real difference.
