Supporting A Loved One with Cancer - Darling Square

Supporting a loved one through a cancer diagnosis can be emotional, overwhelming, and deeply challenging. This workshop is designed to gently support carers by offering practical guidance, emotional tools, and a safe space to connect with others who understand.

Together, we explore the carer’s perspective, acknowledging the impact of a diagnosis, navigating uncertainty, and learning how to support others while also caring for yourself.

Topics include:

  • Coping with a cancer diagnosis – the carer’s experience
  • Practical ways to support someone with cancer
  • Understanding wellbeing and prevention
  • Managing stress, emotions, and uncertainty
  • Building resilience and self-care strategies

The workshop also includes a guided meditation session, providing an opportunity to slow down, reduce stress, and reconnect with a sense of calm and balance. In addition, participants will be invited to engage in a gentle painting activity, offering a creative, reflective outlet to process emotions, express experiences, and reconnect with moments of peace and clarity.

This is a compassionate and supportive space where carers can feel seen, heard, and empowered.
