Good Shepherd’s Financial Independence Hub is a FREE and completely confidential financial recovery service available to participants regardless of where they live, or who they bank with. Our participants do not need to provide evidence or tell their story to access the service.
The program is for people experiencing financial impacts of domestic violence and ANY kind of financial abuse. Our participants cannot be in immediate danger or crisis, rather in recovery and are ready to consider their financial future.
The Financial Independence Hub (FIH) presentation will explain pathways of support for people
- of all gender identities
- over 18 years old and live in Australia
- and do not have to be a permanent resident or have a visa (we can organise an interpreter if needed)
The presentation will discuss four support pathways with Financial Coaching, as their core offering and additional support pathways that are in-service offerings if needs are identified by FIH Practitioners during intake. Touch on healthy and unhealthy financial relationships, budgeting, and frauds along with referral pathways into the program with plenty of time for Q&A's at the end of the session.
