The Art of Manual Coffee Brewing - Eveleigh

This hands-on coffee workshop breaks down the science of manual brewing, giving you the practical skills to get the most out of your beans.

You will learn why we roast filter coffee lighter and how to decode the processing methods on the retail bag. From there, we cover the golden ratios and grind sizes needed for immersion and percolation brewing.

You will test the French Press and Aeropress, and then pair up to practice your V60 pour-over technique.  

  • Understand the difference between filter roasts and espresso roasts  
  • Learn to read a coffee bag and understand how processing impacts flavour  
  • Master the golden ratio and correct grind sizes for different brewers  
  • Test and compare immersion and hybrid brewers like the French Press and Aeropress  
  • Practice your V60 pour-over technique, managing filter papers, agitation, and flow rate
