Wirrangan Healing Session – First Nations Only Session
As a carer, so much of your time and energy is spent looking after someone else. The Wirrangan Healing Session is an opportunity to take some time for you—to slow down, connect with culture and community, and focus on your own wellbeing in a culturally safe First Nations-only space.
Guided by a First Nations facilitator, this immersive three-hour experience will take you on a journey of culture, connection, reflection, and restoration.
During the session, you will experience:
- a traditional Smoking Ceremony to open the experience and prepare for the journey ahead;
- a culturally safe Yarning Circle, creating space to connect, listen, share, and reflect together;
- a guided Breathwork Activation Ceremony, which can be experienced comfortably lying on a yoga mat or seated in a chair;
- a Traditional Didgeridoo Sound Healing Session, delivered in accordance with cultural law, knowledge, and protocols; and
- time for quiet reflection and journalling, allowing you to capture your thoughts, feelings, and personal reflections from the experience.
Following the three-hour session, we will come together over lunch, providing time to reconnect, yarn and enjoy the company of other First Nations carers.
This is more than taking a few hours away from your caring role. It is an opportunity to be surrounded by other First Nations carers, connect through shared culture and experience, and create space for your own wellbeing, strength, and sense of belonging.
Come as you are, take time for you, and experience a journey grounded in culture, connection, and wellbeing.
Transport not included.
